Pass and Ticket Information
To celebrate Salem Film Fest’s 10th Anniversary and to help ensure the long-term vitality of this grassroots, all-documentary effort as a sustainable cultural event, we offer festival passes which provide SFF enthusiasts new ways to enjoy and support the festival.
The Patron Pass provides access to all events and films at SFF, and includes exclusive, first access to ticketing and seating for all films. Holders of the Patron Pass also enjoy free admission to the March 2 Gala ($75 admission) as well as exclusive access to VIP and visiting filmmaker receptions (tickets not available to the public).
Patron Passes are available for $500 ($250 of which is a tax-deductible charitable contribution to Salem Film Fest). To purchase this pass, click on the Buy Now button. Your pass will be waiting for you at the box office in CinemaSalem!
The Film Pass provides admission to all film programming at all festival venues. Film Passes are available for $250 ($100 of which is a tax-deductible charitable contribution to Salem Film Fest). To purchase this pass, click on the Buy Now button. Your pass will be waiting for you at the box office in CinemaSalem!
Individual admission tickets for all 2017 Salem Film Fest film presentations cost $13 for adults and $11 for seniors, students, and children. Tickets can be purchased at the CinemaSalem box office (hours: Monday-Friday 4 pm – 8 pm and Saturday-Sunday noon – 8 pm).
Once the film roster and schedule are complete, individual tickets can also be purchased online through this website (by clicking the “Buy Tickets” button next to each film).
A limited number of tickets are available at the Peabody Essex Museum for films screened at PEM. Tickets for these screenings are also available at CinemaSalem and online.
Please plan to be seated in the auditorium at showtime! In the event of a sell-out, empty seats will be sold to waitlisted patrons.
For same-day tickets for screenings at PEM, tickets may be purchased in person at the museum; online ticket sales for PEM films will end at midnight prior to the day of their screening. For films screening at PEM that begin after 5 pm, the ticketing office will open a half hour before the film starts with remaining tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.
An important note about sellouts: Each year, many film screenings sell out at Salem Film Fest. To ensure seating, festival pass holders must stop by the CinemaSalem box office to pick up ticket stubs for each screening they wish to attend. This transaction can take place in advance.
Group discounts are available to Salem Film Fest! If your school, group, or organization has a special interest in a particular film, there’s no need to pay full price. A discounted admission charge of $7 per person is available for individual festival screenings for groups of 25 or more. This group rate must be purchased in advance.
The same admission discount is available for a group of 60 or more which desires to set up a special private screening (typically during the daytime hours) of one of the festival films. In the past, high school and college groups have taken advantage of this opportunity.
