All-Access Passes Available Now

February 11th, 2010

Don Nadeau saw every film at SFF 2009.

Thirty-four documentaries comprise the 2010 Salem Film Fest, making it the largest documentary festival in New England.

Unheard of at most festivals, over one-third of the filmmakers will be attending and dialoging before and after their films, making for a truly unique and powerful cinematic experience.

Add to this, local live music and after-parties and you’ve got yourself a packed week of activities. For this, you’ll need the All Access Pass.

This is $150 for adults and $120 for students, seniors and children. Less expensive three-day passes are available to those who can only commit to the weekend of the festival. And Oscar Party tickets for the big event at CinemaSalem on March 7 are $25.

I have been to several films at the previous festivals, and intend to come to at least a couple this year. I really admire all that you are doing for filmmaking and for Salem. The passes are great, but neither the weekend or the all access meet my needs. I don’t have the stamina to see more than 15, which would make the all access practical! ANd not all the ones that interest me are on the weekend.

I wondered if you had, or would, consider an intermediate pass or two – for instance, 6 films for the price of 5, and/or 10 for the price of 8. I would probably go for the former, and there are two of us. I imagine there are a lot of others who would also be interested. I think you’d encourage a lot more people to come, and to come to more films.

Another idea – have you considered some kind of cross promotion with restaurants? a dinner and film(s) thing? I imagine there’d be folks intersted in a package, where one could attend one or more films plus have dinner.

I realize the restaurant idea probably isn’t practical for this year, ( or perhaps you’ve already considered it) but I would ithink the passes could be implemented even this last minute.

    Keep up the good work!
